Welcome to the Bergen City Marathon!
Welcome to the Fjordkraft Bergen City Marathon (FBCM) on Saturday, April 29th. This is the sixth version of the FBCM which has become an unmissable day of festivities for the whole family. The course is beautiful and inspiring. Come and experience the atmosphere at the start and finish line at Bryggen in Bergen!
Marathon 42 Km, Half-Marathon 21 Km, Relay 5 Km, and 2 Km Kids Race. Experience the atmosphere at the start and finish line at Bryggen in Bergen, run through Old Bergen, take in the incredible view from the Fjellveien mountain road. The course continues along the beautiful pathway along Store Lungegårdsvannet Bay. Experience the buzzing life in Nygårdsparken Public Park, where the 5 Km race starts. Narrow cobblestone streets and charming traditional houses at Nordnes guide you towards the Nordnesparken Public Park, where the Kids 2 Km race starts. Here you'll start the final leg towards Bryggen. We welcome you to a centrally located course that will give you an unforgettable experience!
This Saturday I ran my 35th marathon. It was, without a doubt, the heaviest, most challenging terrain-wise, and most exhausting marathon I've ever run regardless of season and conditions. But, and this is really a 'but': it was undoubtedly the most beautiful marathon I've been a part of.
